Wayne,
Thanks for talking me into the Asymetrical Chute. Great fun! It compliments the
North Main very nicely. The day this photo was taken, we sailed into Sunrise Cove
Marina doing 7 plus knots without hardly trying. What a gas.

Just to have it said: I really appreciate you. It's not just that you are the "local guy" -- I'm sure that helps, but -- it's really that you provide a good, attentive, professional service and you make it easy.
Thanks again!

Dear Wayne,
It has been my recent priveledge to work with you in upgrading my mainsail and to installing a Harken bat/cat system to my 36' C&C sailboat. It was a pleasure, after negotiating the upgrade, to find the results I was looking for. After struggling with the standard mainsail slugs for so many years, it is now a pleasure not having to have more than one person haul up the main. I can now enjoy the rest of the day sailing without expending all my efforts setting the main.
It was also a pleasure, after our initial greeting, to step on my boat when the job was completed with no adjustments and enjoy my new upgrade.
Thanks for your professionalism and I would highly recommend to anyone struggling getting up their mainsail to you and the system you offer.
Sincerely,
Richard Picone
"...Sailed with the "New" Dr. Dan's sail Sunday. It fit great. Looks real good, about a 145%. Performed well in light wind.
Tell Casey he did a wonderful job. Thank you all. I would be glad to recommend "The Sail Loft" to anyone who asks".

Wayne,
Sometimes I know you wonder what happens to the results of your handiwork. Well here is the story so far.
Late in 1989 my wife and I purchased a sailboat from Sailing Atlanta and, as part of the package, a bimini from your loft was included. For 8 years we used that boat on Lake Lanier leaving the bimini up through some of the most sever weather. A few stitches have been re-sewn, but the fabric and 95% of the stitches are just as you delivered them back in 1990.
Earlier this year we moved to Savannah. The boat was also moved and now resides in Sail Harbor (Site of the 1996 Olympics). After the move, the bimini was again installed and again left to the mercy of the elements. Well along comes Earl, the fifth hurricane of the 1998 season. We did not get a direct hit, but it took me two weeks to get up the limbs (some as big as my leg), and debis from the yard. Winds were sustained at 40 to 50 knots with gusts to 70 knots. One marina on nearby Tybee Island was completely destroyed.
Not having much warning that Earl was on its way and with the prediction of only 20 knots of wind, we did not make any preparations to weather the storm. Normally I would have removed the sails and all fabric from the boat, but I didn't this time. The main sail and bimini were left on the boat. Towards the end of the day after about 15 hours of winds, we finally made it to the marina to assess the damage. Much to my surprise, the material portion of the bimini was completely in tact and the only problem was the frame, which had come apart during the storm.
After reconnecting all the hardware, making sure that the set screws were indeed tight, the only actual damage was the loss of one hinge pin. There was absolutely no damage to the material part of the bimini. Your replacement pin has made the bimini as good as new again.
This is not the end of the story. We look forward to many more sails under the cover of our eight plus year old bimini.
Sincerely,
Roy Holcomb
...In August of this year you delivered to me a 135% genoa for my Wavelength 24. The wind being what it is on Lake Lanier, I didn't get a chance to try until about two weeks ago and hadn't even had it out of the bag.
This is the third North headsail I've had on my Wavelength. The first one, a "C" cut 155% Genoa was superb. The second sail, an "S" cut 155% Genoa, was still better. The 135% Genoa is even better! What sets this sail apart is that it not only performs as I have come to expect from North sails, but it simply is a pretty sail.
I know that "pretty" is in the eye of the beholder, but my crew and many competitors remarked that it was pretty. The sail's beauty is attributable not only to its shape but primarily to the attention given to the construction details. I've had Brooks Brothers suits that were not put together as well.
Thanks to all of you and especially to the people who did the detail work.
Very Truly Yours,
Hunter Sohn

Dear Wayne,
As I said, you do great work! We are very proud of the bimini and are pleased for others to see it as well. We are keeping it covered during the week until I relocate my solar panel, but it makes a great difference when we sail.
I look forward to working with you on the dodger and my staysail. Again, thank you for a great job!

Dear Wayne:
Enclosed are the pictures of the boat with all of the canvas that you have created
in its various combinations. We continue to be abosolutely delighted with how
well it works. Martha and I have just come back from a weekend on the boat up
at Watts Bar Lake. We were blessed with mostly bright sunny days and used both
Biminis constantly. We had one drippy rainy day where we put up all the dodger
business and it was a great, great help. Thanks to you and Liz for an excellent
job!
